Based on a presidential decree initiated by Supreme Audit Office, H.E President has given the below order for the recognition of ACCA, FIA, CIA and PMP Qualifications in Higher Education System of Afghanistan.
Article One:
a. Establishment of a joint committee comprising, Ministry of Higher Education as Chair and CPA Afghanistan, Supreme Audit Office and Civil Service Commission as members.
Article Two:
a. In the light of Afghanistan Laws and international experience the committee is assigned to work towards the recognition of the qualification holders and their source of qualification and facilitate the legal basis for the recruitment of such persons holding the qualification.

The Committee held two meetings so far and will announce the outcomes of the work.
CPA Afghanistan had put in a lot of effort from 2015 towards the recognition of ACCA qualification in Afghanistan and for that purpose singed an MoU with the Ministry of Higher Education, Kabul University's, Economic Faculty which resulted in establishment of Bachelor Program in Accounting. The 4-year bachelor Program with 9 ACCA papers exemption is financially supported by CPA Afghanistan at Ministry of Finance and technically by International Islamic University of Malaysia. The first student cohort has completed 2 semesters. Students can get into the program through Kankor exam.
